photoWe are excited about our new Bible Memory program! We have chosen 100 key verses that all children should know and divided them up into a number of different levels as follows:

  • 8 first verses (Kindergarten children learn in their classes)
  • 12 verses each for levels 1-6 (elementary-age children learn at home)
  • 10 verses each for silver and gold bonus levels

We recommend doing just one or two levels each year, however you may do as many levels as you choose, especially with older children starting the program for the first time. To move to the next level you must recite all previously learned verses. For example, if you want to work on level 3, you will recite the first 8 verses, level 1 and then level 2 over again before going on to the 12 new verses in level 3. This built in repetition will help children truly learn the scriptures and hide them in their hearts.

One of the great things about this program is that you may start your verses at any time of year and in any grade and do them together as a family. The responsibility for driving the program and keeping track of the verses will be with you the parents.

Verse cards are available for $3 from the Children's Ministries Information Center in the lower level lobby or can also be downloaded (see below). There are some special tags/forms included with the verses to keep track of the verses recited. In order for your child to receive an award these tags/forms must be filled out completely, signed and returned to Children's Ministries. Acheivement is recognized each year at our End of Year Celebration in May.
