Angel Tree Sunday is November 20!

The Angel Tree Project, an extension of Prison Fellowship, is a service to incarcerated parents and their children. At Christmastime, volunteers from churches can purchase and deliver gifts to the children of inmates in their parent’s name. Each gift delivery also presents an opportunity to share the love and hope of Christ with each family. Through Angel Tree, these children feel a parent’s love, despite their absence.

New for 2011: A Bible for each child...
This year, in addition to these gifts, we will be gifting each child with their very own age-appropriate bible. We have already hand-selected the bibles we plan to give and are accepting cash or check donations of any amount to cover this cost (make checks out to "NHC"). Donations will be accepted at the Angel Tree lobby table on Sunday, November 20 or they can be given to the receptionist "Attn: Care Ministries-Angel Tree" anytime through Sunday, December 11.

New Hope Church Prison Ministry assists the church family in this wonderful opportunity to provide gifts and reach out to these families in our community this Christmas. Learn more about the national Angel Tree program>>

Prison Fellowship provides New Hope Church with the names of children in our area whose incarcerated parents have requested this kind of service. Our Prison Ministry has contacted each caregiver to get permission for the children to receive these gifts and will follow up after Christmas so that we can possibly have an on going ministry to some of these families.

2011 Angel Tree Schedule

November 20: Angel Tree Sunday
Angels with gift suggestions can be taken from the Christmas tree in the lobby. YOU MUST BE PRESENT at the lobby table between Worship Celebrations on Sunday, November 20 to receive an angel. Note that angels are limited to the number of children we receive from Prison Fellowship each year and are available on a first come-first served basis.

UPDATE: All this years angels have been "adopted." For those of you who did take an angel, THANK YOU! Download a list of angel tree shopper guidelines if you did not get one at the table. Contact Tiffany at 763-971-5121 if you have questions.
