Road Construction
last updated on August 19, 2008
The City of New Hope is currently
doing road reconstruction on Gettysburg Avenue. We are grateful
for this badly needed improvement that will enhance access to the
church as well as community appearance.
Make note that this process will
present considerable challenges throughout the summer as the City
undertakes these projects:
• Complete
reconstruction of Gettysburg Avenue.
• Water main replacement.
• Sanitary sewer replacement.
• Storm sewer replacement.
Work directly
in front of the church began on Monday, June 16 and
will run through the end of August. We have been told
that there will be access to the church property at all times.

Roadwork always means considerable
inconvenience to achieve the necessary, long-term improvement all
of us want. So let's use it as an opportunity to smile, demonstrate
grace and patience, be thankful and remain faithful.
Be sure to leave yourself a little
extra time as you head to church and be prepared for possible detours
at times. We will post additional updates to this construction
project as we receive them.

"...if you pour yourself out for the hungry and
satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness
and your gloom be as the noonday. And the Lord will guide you continually and
satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you
shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not
fail. And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt; you shall be called the repairer
of the breach, the restorer of the streets to dwell in." Isaiah
