Short-term Trip Opportunties

2010 short-term trips are currently being planned. Opportunites are planned for Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, East Asia, Guatemala, Honduras and Liberia. Contact Global Ministries and then download the forms necessary to take part in these trips. Download the short-term trip brochure. Learn more>>

The following information will help you prepare for a short-term trip.

Medical Information
When you begin making plans to take part in a short-term trip, visit your family physician for a medical check up. Inform the clinic of your destination and expected duties. The doctor will prescribe the proper immunizations. Your tetanus MUST be up to date. Immunizations can be obtained at the following locations:
• Your doctor's office.
• Park Nicollet Travel Clinic, 952-993-3131.
• Abbott Northwestern Travel Clinic, 612-863-5336.
Special Note: Check with your medical insurance company to see which clinic they cover in the state of Minnesota. Not all clinics are covered.

Passport Information
Passports can be purchased at a Hennepin County Service Center. (There locations in Maple Grove, Ridgedale, Brookdale and Southdale.) The cost is $97. You must provide proof of citizenship with an original birth certificate and have a social security number, official passport photos and a completed application. The Service Center can print passport photos or you can obtain them at another location such as Walgreens or AAA. Learn more>>
