Bulgaria
English Instruction
The Republic of Bulgaria was one of the most closed communist societies
until the change that began in 1989. Since the collapse of the Soviet Union,
it has passed through a time of politiacl, social and economic transition.
Our Bulgaria English Instuction trips provide a relational, friendship
evangelism opportunity created by teaching conversational English to individuals
from the city of Zlatograd located in the Radopi Mountains in Southern
Bulgaria. We have also brought encouragement to a small evangelical church
in the area. Times of worship, Bible study and prayer have bonded our
teams with these Bulgarian believers.
Women's Ministries In Bulgaria
These trips have focused on serving orphans and women at risk in Sofia,
the capital and largest city of Bulgaria. The team taught life skills and
cottage industry opportunities to individuals in this region. NHC has concentrated
service in this area of the world for many years and we have seen the Lord
do some amazing work over that time.
Guatemala/Kids Alive
These trips provide skilled workers who share their abilities to build
facilities that aid and assist orphan girls needing care. The NHC teams
have helped with construction projects, educational programs and special
activities for children. The purpose of Kids Alive Guatemala is to
develop responsible Christian adults from children who were once in at-risk
situations. They provide quality Christian homes and/or relationship-based
day programs that equip the children spiritually, educationally, physically,
emotionally and vocationally so that they are able to become responsible
Christian adults who impact their country for Jesus Christ. Learn more

Czech Republic - Students
Student Ministries has coordinated trips to serve in the Czech Republic.
This ministry has been aimed at bringing non-Christian students face-to-face
with young believers who are excited about their faith. The goal is to
communicate the love of Christ through actions and words. The friendships
made have opened many doors to sharing the gospel message. These trips
have been life-changing for our students and those in the Czech Republic.
Dominican Republic
Four members of New Hope Church took part in a short term trip to the Dominican
Republic in August 2008. The trip goals included ministering and sharing
the gospel through music, encouraging youth to get involved in ministry,
and building relationships with the local church. Read more on the trip
blog and one of the stories from the trip.
