There are numerous hands-on ways to serve God in what he is doing through Global Ministries. Be creative, get to know missionaries and consider some of the ideas below! Contact Global Ministries at 763-971-5107 for additional information on how to get involved.

Administrative

- Volunteer your administrative skills and abilities with the NHC Global Ministries office.
- Donate your time to assist a missions agency.
- Offer to help missionaries research information about the country in which they'll be serving.
- Collect and send articles and other information about their field.
- Help to mail out their prayer letters.

Communications

- Become a Global Ministries liaison to your Sunday Community Group.
- Compile and share information about missionaries to groups in our church congregation.
- Take photos and write articles about missionaries and short-term projects.
- Assist in maintaining information on the NHC Global Ministries area of the NHC website.
- Help promote NHC Global Ministries opportunties to your own circle of influence.
- Pass along any special or immediate prayer requests to the NHC Global Ministries office.

Hospitality

- Provide temporary housing while missionaries are home on furlough.
- Offer use of a vehicle to visiting missionary families.
- Donate child care items.
- Provide transportation to appointments.
- Donate resources to the Friendship House.
- Host missions-related luncheons and socials.
- Invite missionaries to join you for a meal.
- Entertain missionary families by hosting fun activities or city tours.

Care

- Ask how you can specifically pray for them.
- Financially assist short or long-term missions trips.
- Consistently write letters or emails.
- Send gifts and cards during birthdays and holidays.
- Purchase resources for missions projects.
- Send care packages.
- Give gift certificates.
- Give recommendations on local servies such as medical, dental, auto repair and economical places to shop.
- Stock their residence with food and household supplies, or baked treats.
- Be available to ask questions about their work. Listen to stories from the field.
- Offer rides and a send-off from the airport.
- Organize an open house or informal prayer "commissioning" just before they leave for the field.
- Surprise them with an occassional phone call.
- Send information about what is happening back home and with the New Hope Church family.
- Help to take care of their home while they are away.
- Be at the airport when they return.
