Prayer River - God's People Seeking God in Prayer
Prayer River is the New Hope Church family calling upon the Lord to accomplish his purposes within us for his glory and our good.
Weekly Update
Weekly Prayer Flow
This week we focus on the power of quietness and solitude before the Lord. Be still my soul. God speaks clearly within a quieted heart. Solitude is not simply not speaking. It is a heart attitude, a spirit response of submission and trust in the Lord. It is an oasis of the soul where we perceive God, others and ourselves in an accurate light. Confers where your spirit is anxious or where you have let distractions displace the Lord. Ask quietness of the Lord. Listen to the voice of Scripture. Seek solitude in God and the wisdom that comes through it.
Scriptural Prayer Focus
Psalm 139:1-4, 23-24; Philippians 4:6-8

The Concept
• A growing movement of prayer for God to accomplish his purposes for his glory within the NHC family (2 Chronicles 7:14).
• Everyone has the opportunity to be a prayer tributary contributing to the powerful flow of the Holy Spirit in refreshing our hearts (John 7:38-39).
CALL2FALL is based on an insight from II Chronicles 7:14 where God says, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray…” The Hebrew term for “humble” carries the implication of falling before the Lord. It is God’s call to us to fall before him in prayer, hence, CALL2FALL.
The Structure
• Weekly bulletin Prayer River focus.
• Individuals in prayer.
• Small groups in prayer.
• Weekly on-campus prayer gatherings.
• Periodic congregational prayer gatherings.
