2008 renewal prayer movement (rpm)
a church-wide call to spiritual renewal
<< previous page

The great pastor and theologian of the 1700s, Jonathan Edwards, said with forcefulness that one of the great opportunities of the Church is to “seek direction from the mouth of God” in prayer. We are told in Colossians 4:2, “Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving. The Apostle Paul adds in Ephesians 6:18 that as the Lord’s people we are to be “praying always with all prayer and asking in the Spirit, being careful and attentive with all perseverance to pray for one another.”

Do you want to turn to the Lord for spiritual healing, revival and renewal within your heart? Join the Renewal Prayer Movement! RPM is a simple, grassroots prayer commitment of the New Hope Church family to invite the Lord to refresh and renew our hearts from the inside out. We 0 seek the Lord together in prayer. Only the Holy Spirit can empower RPM to move from a prayer method into a prayer movement. May he anoint us with power as we seek him relentlessly.

RPM FOCUS

Renewal Insight
Renewal Insight: God calls His people to love His Word and base our lives on it. The first word is God's Word to us, not ours to Him. Much of our praying should be reflecting God's heart from God's Word in God's presence.

Scripture Focus
Psalm 119:126-133

Prayer Stimulators
When we pray the Word of God, we embrace the will of God. In prayer today, focus on passages of Scripture from God's Word. Read them to others. Ask God to increase your love for His Word and give you understanding. Plead God's unbreakable promises.

Watch for prayer focus updates in your Sunday bulletin.
