Transportation Volunteer Opportunities

Enter into life-changing ministry by helping others through difficult transportation experiences. Assist a wide variety of people with accessibility to church ministry and necessary services. Offer a reliable source of mobility that enables progress for others. Many are seeking transportation and we desire to minister to them as a church. You can help! Volunteers:

  • Choose which times they are available.

  • Determine which routes to service.

  • Find joy, satisfaction and blessings from putting faith into action.

Volunteer Driver Training

Next training date TBD
Become equipped to drive others through trying seasons of transportation challenges. This one-time required session covers the necessary legal, safety, liability, personal and transportation requirements for ministry of this type. Ongoing equipping and team coordination are integral components of the ministry.

Volunteer requirements include minimum age of 18, one training session, a valid driver’s license, in-force vehicle registration and insurance, clean driving record, availability (week day, week night and/or weekend). No last minute availability expected, only pre-scheduled times.Training sessions are offered periodically and open with no commitment to ministry. Has transportation become taxing, time consuming and unavailable for you right now? Is the lack of transportation to church and essential appointments deteriorating your independence, quality of life and social interaction? Is it causing isolation and hindering your ability to give and receive ministry? Our transportation ministry offers:

  • Compassion, care and a commitment to help others
  • Volunteers from all walks of life
  • Eagerness to make a positive contribution to someone else’s life

Call 763-971-5125 for information or to request rides. Generally, rides will be scheduled as drivers are available. Assignments will be applied to your need to receive or give ministry at the church and access important professional appointments and essential services (such as groceries, agencies, banking) in the community.
