Generation Studies

Sermon on the Mount by Jen Wilkin [Morning & Evening]
"Sermon on the Mount" by Jen Wilkin is a nine-week study on what it means to be a citizen of the kingdom of heaven according to Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. Matthew's gospel opens with three chapters containing Jesus' longest recorded message, a sermon given to his disciples early in his ministry. This message articulates what the life of a Christ-follower looks like. It was intended to turn upside down every expectation his closest followers might have. The sermon asks of us the same questions. How should a disciple relate to sin? To others? To the Law? How does a disciple think, speak and act? What is the nature of true righteousness?

This study includes DVD lecture, small group interaction and approximately two hours of weekly homework.

Acts Parts 1-2: Precept Upon Precept Study by Kay Arthur (Morning only)
Luke’s first account was his Gospel in which he recorded all that Jesus began to do and teach. His second account we call Acts, or the Acts of the Apostles. Here Luke records what happened after Jesus’ ascension to the Father. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit, empowering the apostles to testify to the power of God in salvation and in living every day for the gospel. Learn how God spread the gospel through witnesses of Jesus’ death and resurrection. Learn from their examples how you can witness to others. Stand in awe of the power of God in believers to endure persecution and suffering for the cause of Christ and embrace his power in your life. Be encouraged by the results of faithful servants holding forth truth in a dark world; watch as the church grows numerically, geographically, and culturally.
