Generations Study

Breaking Free: The Journey, The Stories by Beth Moore

Breaking Free leads you through the Scriptures to discover the transforming power of freedom in Jesus Christ. Themes come from Isaiah, a book about the captivity of God's children, the faithfulness of God, and the road to freedom. Beth Moore looks at how the lives of the kings who ruled during Isaiah's ministry exemplify many of the obstacles to freedom we deal with today. The book and teaching sessions have been updated from the original version.

Times: 9:15-11:15 a.m. or 6:30-8:00 p.m.

Additional Small Group Opportunities

Unveil: Lust-Free Living - Beginning October 16 and 19

This is a course, created by Lowell Seashore and Jamie Booke, designed to help women understand who they are in Christ, what sexuality is and isn't, and how to approach sexuality in a biblically healthy way while learning to spiritually fight deception. Lust is not just a guy issue. Although there are parallels between how guys and women experience it, this course approaches the topic of lust from a distinctly feminine perspective.

The course covers the spectrum from the overt symptoms of lust to the heart concerns at its roots. Women need a safe place in the church to share, discuss and get to the foundation of our deep desires to feel needed, wanted and desired. Together, we learn how these desires can easily get distorted and what do to about it. Ninety women at NHC have already gone through it and really grown! The plan is to have married groups and single groups. If these dates and times don't work for you, but you are interested, please contact me. There is a possible single group on Tuesday evenings.

Dates: Sundays- October 16 (5:00-6:30 p.m. with childcare available through AWANA)

Wednesdays- October 19 (6:30-8:00 p.m. with childcare available through Children's Ministries)

Location: Main Campus

Format: Groups meet for 10 weeks, including a "Steps to Freedom" Day. Other groups may meet during the day or evening depending on leader availability and need, but the groups will join together for the day retreat.

Cost: $15 for the materials. This fee also includes lunch during the "Steps to Freedom" day on December 17.
