Want to be an S.I.S.? Let's be Sisters in Service! As Women's Ministries grows, so does the opportunity to reach into our community and world in very practical ways. We don’t serve others so people notice us but so people notice God. When people see our good deeds, they will glorify our Father in heaven (Matthew 5:16). We are serving because Jesus is our great example of a humble servant who gave of himself in every way for the good of others (Philippians 2:1-11). His love compels us. We are committed to serving people in the family of God and outside of the family of God in the community and in the world. “Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue, but with actions and in truth” (1 John 3:18). Join Sisters in Service for these upcoming events.
White CrossOn the first Thursday of each month (September to May) from 9:30-11:30 a.m. meet in the Fellowship Room for White Cross. This is a hands-on service project and prayer group that makes and gives items to assist in home and global missions. Contact Lois Farrell for more information at 763-559-2716. Donate Campbell’s soup labels, polar fleece material or 100 percent cotton to White Cross. Place them in the bin on the shelf above Will Call across from the pop machines at the main campus. Secret Service SistersThe Secret Service Sisters ministry is geared to encourage and strengthen women in vocational ministry and the wives of the pastors in our congregation. You can take part from the comfort of your own home as you support other women. It only requires a heart to anonymously serve in love to women through prayer, cards and other small gifts. Shhhh, don’t tell others you are a secret service sister! You will never be exposed as the giver, so the thrill of sending secret encouragement and being rewarded in heaven is exciting! If you are interested in being part of this ministry by adopting pastor’s wife, senior staff female, female missionary or other sister with whom you would be matched to bless from now until August, contact Andrea Tyson.
