What do you share with others?
The gospel? Your life?
NHC Women's Ministries is committed to proclaiming the gospel through word and deed. Christians need to hear the gospel repeatedly lest we fall into more sin or take Jesus’ death on our behalf for granted. Heaven forbid that we think we should move beyond the simple truth of Jesus’ death in our place.

If we love people, whether they are Christian or pre-Christian, we will share the gospel with them. The best news that any of us could ever hear is that God loved us so much that He sent Jesus to take the punishment we deserve for messing up and sinning so that we could be his children. What more could he have done to prove his love to us?

And with a love like that, shouldn’t it bubble out of our lives? When we are really in a loving relationship, we talk about it. We share our story and experiences with others.

“We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God, but our lives as well because you had become so dear to us” 1 Thessalonians 2:8

Intercultural Cooking Lessons

Love to cook? Want to love to cook? Love to eat ethnic food?
Saturday, June 28
Hidden Valley Park
(South of Sonneyson Elementary School, west of Boon, south of 36th Avenue)
10:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. Feel free to stay later to play lawn games.

The church and community are joining together at the main campus kitchenwoman cooks for this new outreach ministry as we learn to cook better together. In June, we will move from the kitchen to Hidden Valley Park to be taught in the art of grilling by someone with a passion for cooking who loves to love people in Jesus’ name. The cooking lessons include helping to prepare a meal together.

Come increase your cooking skills and techniques and cultural awareness. As the food cooks, you'll learn helpful information about nutrition as well enjoy a devotional thought that gives believers and non-believers alike something to “chew” on. As we eat the meal we prepare, we’ll have quality time to get to know one another more. Build relationships. Gain some skills. Bring a friend who doesn’t know Jesus! Bring your lawn games for this session!

Cost for the June lesson: $5.
RSVP
for yourself and your guests in advance.

Community Crafters

Saturday, May 31
2:00-9:30 p.m.
(Come and go as you want)

Join us for the second Community Crafters session at HopeBridge! Here’s a chance to spend the day (or part of it) working on your hobby. At the same time, you’ll get to spend time sharing and learning with the friends you make, the crafts you do and the God you love. Throughout the day, we will have scheduled teaching times for various sewercrafts taught by women who are experienced in that particular craft.

During this session, you can learn to make:
• Watercolor Encouragement cards at 3:15 p.m.
• Jewelry at 4:30 p.m.
You can purchase a jewelry making kit for $3.

If you would like to help teach a 20-minute lesson on basic sewing, knitting/crocheting, scrap booking techniques, photography, card making, jewelry making or painting in the future, note that on your registration.

Cost: $3 for the event and $5 for a pizza dinner. Please don't let cost be an obstacle that keeps you away.

Register in advance and pay at the door. Contact Holly Nimchuk at 763-533-5887 with questions.

Contact Andrea Tyson to help with event planning.

Watch for more opportunities and resources to strengthen your skills and confidence in sharing! A "Sharing Jesus" workshop is coming on a Thursday evening in June.
