All of us need to be strengthened. We need to be more equipped to minister where God calls us. The strengthening branch of Women’s Ministries is designed to train women to be servant leaders who are equipped to minister in the spheres of influence in which God has placed them. It is an awesome gift and privilege to be called women of God. We want to live and serve in ways that honor him.

We will be strengthened through a series of workshops and other means that help us to understand who we are and how God has gifted us for his service. Women will discover their gifts and learn to use them in Kingdom service. Women will learn to think with more discernment in biblical and theological matters, gaining knowledge and wisdom. Women will have an opportunity to grow in practical tools and skills for life and service to the Lord wholeheartedly in the church, home, workplace, community and world.

“Therefore, as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed and overflowing with gratitude” (Colossians 2:6-7).

Men 101:Communicating with Respect and Love

February 21, 2009
9:15 a.m.
We have all experienced the language barrier between men and women. They can be so hard to understand even when we are so clear and unambiguous! How can we better understand how to respect and love the men in our lives (husband, fiance, boyfriend, friends) in appropriate ways through our words and non-verbal expressions? What do our relationships with men reveal about our hearts and who we really worship? Learn from Patti Brown, counselor and marriage mentor, during this workshop as we seek to get real about the way we interact and learn to put the power of words to use to build men up and strengthen our relationships.

Evangelism 101: Sharing the Word

March 2009
Does sharing the gospel terrify you? You aren't alone. If someone asked you what the gospel is, what would you say? Would you know how to help someone trust Jesus as Savior and Lord? Have you ever learned to share it in natural ways? Is the method different with family than it is with friends or co-workers? As believers, we have a responsibility to tell others about Jesus, but for many of us that is not a common expression of our faith. Let's talk through the issues and fear we experience and learn practical tools we need to help us joyfully push through fear to live out what God commands us to do.
