Want to talk to a "real person" who's a member of one of these groups? Just ask and we'll put you in contact with one of our members who can answer specific questions about what it's like to serve as part of the Worship Music & Celebration Arts team!

Gospel Choir

This is a "ya'll come" choir. It's open to anyone and everyone, grade 10 and above. We sing just once a month in our later Worship Celebrations and rehearse the Thursday before. What you need: A tongue, at least one working lung and a passion for worshiping Jesus.

What you don't need: previous choir experience, ability to read music (we learn everything "by rote"), the ability to make a year-long commitment (you can "sing as you go," month by month).

Final Gospel Choir of the Season
• Rehearse: Thursday, April 8 - 7:00 p.m.
• Sing: Sunday, April 11 - 9:30 and 11:00 Worship Celebrations

Child care is provided for rehearsals.

It has been such a joyful and uplifting experience to glorify God through music! For years, I had wanted to sing in the choir, but always had scheduling conflicts. I have found the Gospel Choir to be the perfect opportunity for those who want to praise the Lord through song, but are unable to meet the time commitment of the Celebration Choir. It's been an honor to sing with such talented singers and musicians who have been so supportive and welcoming. Thanks to God for the work He's doing through this ministry. Come be a part of it!

Worship Choir

The Worship Choir is the "new kid on the block" for WMCA. Those who join this choir are servants who love the sense of community and family that is created by regular times of rehearsal, but perhaps are not able to make the time commitment required in the past.

The Worship Choir focuses on our spiritual and musical growth as worshipers, prepares for ministry through brief weekly rehearsals (7:00-8:15 p.m. on Thursdays) and leads in the later Worship Celebrations just two Sundays per month (arriving at 8:30 a.m.).

Child care is provided for rehearsals.

I'm excited to be in the new Worship Choir this year. As a high school senior, my life is getting really busy. Being part of the Worship Choir allows me to serve by praising God through singing, to help lead others in worship and also to enjoy the fellowship of the choir family all while keeping my sanity! The variety of new choir options offers a lot more people like me an opportunity to be involved in worship ministry. I hope many people will join me in the Worship Choir!

Celebration Choir

Most like the choir ministry of recent years, the Celebration Choir focuses on ministry in our growing Heritage Service and forms the "core" of the other two choirs.

As a member of the Celebration Choir, you'll have the opportunity to sing a wide variety of musical styles while you minister each week in the Heritage Service. The Celebration Choir is also a central part of the Worship and Gospel Choirs. This choir rehearses each Thursday (until 9:00 p.m.).

The changes at New Hope Church remind me of a remodeling project at our home. The basic foundation remained unchanged, but we made modifications to the house to make it more functional. Similarly, our foundation (mission and doctrine) as a church hasn't changed, but remodeling is taking place to meet the needs of our church family and community. I've been involved with the WMCA ministry for 10 years and I'm excited about the remodeling. I'm looking forward to the privilege of being a part of The Celebration Choir this year.
